From 1984 until 2002, National School Safety Center published two types of periodicals: the SCHOOL SAFETY NEWSJOURNAL (1984-1998) and the SCHOOL SAFETY UPDATE (1991-2002). Published at various times throughout the school year, these publications provided in-depth coverage on topical issues related to school safety and included background information, research, and model programs and prevention strategies vital to the safety of all schoolchildren.Contributors to these publications included accomplished local practitioners and nationally recognized experts and officials.
